behind the scene ( GH-USA military base)

For quite sometime now there's been a rumour circulating that our dearest nation Ghana was sold to the USA. After some weeks of uncertainty surrounding this issue, President Nana Addo has finally come out to address the nation over this issue that engulfed the state. And before then, opinions across the nation have been divided and you could hear from one accusing NDC  or NPP for any kind of reasons.

To shorten the president speech, such agreement people are talking about is not the first to have taken place in the country's  history. It ever happened in 1998 and 2000 before this recent one(2015). And now we know the president view over this issue

My problem about this issue is that did the earlier agreements 1998,2000 happen in the secret like this recent one? And after his speech on this issue everyone came to discover where the tru

Here is the question now , how can a government strike a deal with a foreign government without the approval of the parliament?

Do our leaders really care about us or they only care about the millions of dollars they will  get from Western Powers and build castles outside and live in after they left power

I am not going to ask you which government to blame for such a blatant so called agreement but as a Ghanaian do you think it will be in the nation's interest to go ahead with such an agreement?

  1. After gaining independence in 1957,I can boldly say we are not independent and it's quite suprising these day any single thing that happens in the country has been intertwined with politics

  4. Honestly I don’t think having a US military base here is bad although it’s kind of weird since they have established one in at least all the countries along the west African coast one may be right to think something is cooking

  6. Well,if I heard the President clearly he said a good friend of his, who I presume to also be a leader in this government told him he should leave kept it in silence like in the past. This should tell us the kind of leaders we have. Also, I believe the media is to blame for the fear it put in the citizens of the country. Lastly, I'll say that having a military base here for aid isn't really a big deal but come to think of what @friendship said, now I'm having second thoughts. God help us 🙏🏽

  7. I'm astonished that this "shithole" is worthy for their military to settle in. As for the fact of their military settlements along the African West Coast, something very fishy is going on here!!!
